Syracoon was established originally in Syracuse New York in 1987 and registered exclusively with CFA.
Ours was the best of beginnings. Without you we are nothing.
We thank Joanne Prima, Primeacat Cattery and Trisha Swisher, Kanab Cattery and Sue Yanik, Yanikat Cattery for the best of all beginnings. 
Also a sincere thank you to Jane Wright, Thunderstar Maine Coons for the "Syracoon Silver Edition". Adding this difficult color needed the best ingredient and that is Endeavour. I am thrilled to have his bloodline continue on through our "Nuggets".

Alex is my first breeding  Maine Coon cat.
While showing my first Maine Coon pet in Premiership I fell in love with a  beautiful brown classic tabby Maine Coon named Primeacat's Yogi.

I met and talked with Joanne Prima of Primeacat and was put on her waiting list for a brown classic tabby with white
male with green eyes.
Alex was all I could have hoped for and to this date
holds my heart.

Alex has produced numerous Grand Champions and I believe will someday earn his Distinguished Merit. He has given Syracoon that look we desire and has passed his sweetness along.  Without him we would not be.

Naomi was bred by Trisha and Bill Swisher, Kanab Cattery in Sharp Antler Maryland.
Naomi is my first breeding cat to achieve Distinguished Merit and produced half of our 21 Grand Champions to date.

                                                                               

        

Word of mouth sent me to Sue Yanik, Yanikat cattery in Salt Lake City, Utah for a breeding male who would compliment Alex and Naomi and their offspring. Barry was a dream. He was the sweetest, most beautiful boy. He also had the loudest, longest meow of any Maine Coon I had known up to that time. Because he sang we named him Barry Mainilow. Barry is no longer with us but left so much of himself in all who still live on I can still see him in kittens born today.

For 15 years now we have concentrated on beautiful, healthy, loving kittens.
Our emphasis remains on health and temperament.
We are proud of all kittens produced and offer kittens/cats for
companion pets  as well as pets for show.
We have enjoyed great success over the last 15 years
and hope to continue for years to come.
